Dick Frizzell continues to be a prolific art maker whose constant subversive humour reference back to the advertising and Pop roots that established his name.

Hot Squares continues in true Pop Art tradition as the third colour plate combination of this image. It shows the iconic "4 Square Man" presented with a Warholian bent, "in a warmer colour scheme for autumn" says the artist.

Unconscious Woman and Phantom Flowers are both images derived from the artists' life long interest in the Phantom comics: the 1950's styled woman draped over the pavement tentatively awaits her imminent rescue by a super hero; the pointillism of the flowers firmly plants this image in the realm of the comic.
